Penis Enlargement Methods - The Bad and the Unsafe

To many people the term 'penis enlargement' conjures up visions of the very worst aspects of the internet - spam mail, credit card scams, fraudulent sellers, and unreliable products. Whilst there are many operators within this category who are looking for nothing more than a quick dollar, there are many reliable businesses selling products that do get the job done.

So what are the methods of penis enlargement that don't work, and those that are dangerous?

Starting with those methods that definitely do not work, the Vacuum Pump is number 1. These work by putting the penis into an airtight cylinder - usually plastic - and sucking out the air. The theory is that the removal of the air increases the pressure inside the cylinder thus attracting more blood into the penis and making it bigger.

However, as soon as the penis is taken out of the cylinder it starts to retract to its normal size. This problem can be overcome by fitting a tight ring at the base of the penile shaft to stem the flow of blood and hopefully maintain the erection for a few minutes. Because that's all it will do - maintain the larger erection for a short time - perhaps just enough time for one intimate experience.

All in all, a device that promises much but achieves little.

The next method to consider is no better than the Vacuum Pump and is infinitely more dangerous.

This involves attaching a small weight to a sleeve that's wrapped around the penis. The weight hangs down the inside of the man's trouser leg exerting pressure on the penis. Starting with a small weight and progressing to increasingly heavier weights, the penis is gradually lengthened. Or so the theory goes. But what happens is that the penis becomes long and thin - no quite the result wanted.

The most dangerous aspect of this method is that irreversible damage could be done to the penis whilst stretching. This is a procedure that no medical person would ever recommend.

Lotions, creams and oils rubbed onto the penis are most certainly scams. Allegedly containing selective herbs, minerals and hormones that supposedly benefit the penis, the truth is somewhat different. None of these products can offer any proof that they are effective. Complete rubbish.And finally there is a method of penis enlargement that gets some results, but at great risk and horrendous expense. This is penile surgery.

This method has been developed in the past 10 years particularly for men with a very small penis - called a micro-penis by the medical profession. It entails taking skin and flesh from one area of the body - usually the stomach or buttocks - and attaching it to the penis.

Results are somewhat mixed. The amount of increase gained may be no more than half an inch - 1.25 cms - when the penis is flaccid, but nothing when an erection takes place.

Not all procedures are carried out successfully - mistakes are made, expectations are not met, and lawsuits are the final results. In the US this type of surgical enhancement is not endorsed or approved by the leading medical organizations in this field. Nor do the health insurance companies provide cover. The full cost then has to be met by the patient.

And at upwards of $10,000 for the operation with no guarantee of success and the possibility of further expense should the operation not be successful, only the rich and brave undertake this procedure.

What, then, is the best method of penis enlargement that does achieve permanent results?

The answer to that is by using a penis traction device.

This is a small plastic unit that can be held in a man's hand and therefore hidden under loose-fitting clothing. The flaccid penis sits in a small cradle with a top and a lengthening facility attached to the side. Very gradually, the cradle is lengthened so that the penis experiences very small incremental increase in length. Over a period of time, this increase can be significant.

This is a method of penis enlargement that gets results, permanent results. Not only does the shaft increase in length, it also becomes bigger in girth.
